FCM Sustainable Communities

Desert Spring Products proudly sponsored David Suzuki's recent presentation at the annual Conference of Federation of Canadian Municipalities - Sustainable Communities. He was provocative and enlightening. He challenged each of us to do our part and said that if we were willing it could mean sustainable communities within 10 years.

We were able to provide additional information and education to another 150 representatives responsible for environmental and infrastructure issues within Canada 's municipalities. The FCM (Federation of Canadian Municipalities) represents 1,000 cities that together make up 80% of Canada's population. We will continue to work with the FCM membership to build awareness and encourage support of our products which provide for water conservation, energy efficiency and waste reduction.

Each attendee was given a drinking glass - by our Director of Sales & Marketing, Evelyn Ledsham - highlighting how one traditional flow through humidifier uses 22,600 litres of water vs one Desert Spring Humidifier which uses 2 litres of water.
